Orphaned Systems, or why don't you fix my favourite system?

Fact of the matter is, OSG would love to have the time and resources to be able to offer free evaluations for 3DO's, Atari Jaguar's, Nomad's and more. However, evaluations take shop time, shop space, and technician time. Some of these systems are simply so unpopular for repair service, that no business on earth (at least one that needs to generate revenue to survive) could afford to offer services for them. Just because a system is orphaned, it does not mean that OSG can't fix it, or that OSG does not have experience or parts on hand for that system. It just means that we can't afford to invest the time in free evaluations for them due to lack of demand and difficulty in diagnosis.

So, if a system you require service for is listed below, and you are very keen on repair (instead of replacement), OSG may still be able to help you. However, the evaluation will cost $25 USD up front. In the event that repairs are possible, this $25 would be credited in full towards any approved repairs. If repairs are not possible or are declined, the $25 fee goes towards handling and shop time for the evaluation. (Return shipping -if desired- is extra on top of the fee)

So if you are still keen on having an unsupported, orphaned system evaluated for service, feel free to e-mail us. We can make an honest effort 'best guess' from your detailed problem description in your e-mail, as to whether or not there is a likelihood of repair for your system.

OSG respects your value, your time and your system. Please respect our efforts to best manage our time by limiting free evaluations to only the most popular systems.
